Funny how sweet and cute she looks here, but she is an absolute terror these days. Terrible twos have NOTHING on this little monster. I think she's trying to secure her place as my first and last child.Things I've learned:
*taking away something that could be dangerous with a toddler (i.e., straws, sticks, etc.) is NOT acceptable. Screaming and thrashing will ensue.
*giving her the wrong snack food will get food thrown down or at you. Screaming may ensue.
*changing her diaper means I have to do it one handed, because the other hand is trying to hold her squirming body down so she doesn't jump off the changing table. Screaming and/or thrashing may ensue.
*putting shoes on her may be a major no-no. Screaming and/or thrashing may ensue.
*her new words are "Mine!" and "Ow!" and will be said over and over and interchangably at the most random of moments for no reason, other than to be dramatic.
*she will have a meltdown if you go into the bathroom without her and shut the door. She'll lean up against the door and be all dramatic like her life is ending. But once you open the door and pick her up, she's all smiles again.
*she has an attitude sometimes, and she has a diva look. You could ask her, "Are you ready to go to bed?" She'll say, "No!" and if you say anything else to her that's equally unacceptable, she'll tilt her head down like she's looking at you over the top of bifocals and give you a look, then blink her eyes at you. All as if to say: you've got to be kidding me.
*she LOVES to dance. And sing.
*her foot has finally grown out of a size 3-6 months into a size between 3 and 4.
*toddler Nikes are $35!! No, I did not buy them; however, my mother did. She even got her a pair of New Balance so she'd have a "backup pair."
*those Nikes are preh-shous. Even Joe likes them.
*in a playground FULL of kids and toys and other fun stuff, Bayley chooses a stick. Every time.
*she likes to lean into your face and squinch her face up and growl at you like a "cave bear."
*she looooves our "pup-pee!" Fletcher (an adult male Collie) and will give him kisses. He's so sweet and patient with her. She'll even try to talk to him by saying, "wooh wooh!"
*she likes to "give kisses," run up to you and give hugs, say "LAH yooo!" (love you!), and smile and laugh.

Izzy loves sticks too, but his favorite is rocks. I find rocks hidden under tables and in the bottom of toy boxes. Crazy kids.
Ugh they are so cute. Booga loves sticks, rocks, and straws. Also- I hate the fooking diaper-change thrashing! Ughhh!
Oh, also my mom recently bought Cole a pair of $65 tennis shoes. !!!!!!!!

Allie tries to go in the bathroom with me every night when I'm brushing the boys teeth and when she's told no she starts kicking and screaming.
Kids shoes are way overpriced....seriously it drives me insane!

Tip on the diaper changing: do it on the floor. Lay her down, and put your leg over her chest. Not toooooo hard, but you know---enough pressure that she can't sit up or wiggle away, but not so much that she can't breath!
Oh toddlers. Just when you are getting ready to put them on craigs list they do something sweet like say LAH yooo.
